Live Streaming with WiFi is BAD!!!
In this episode...well, we had what every Live Streamer dreads; a total meltdown! After regaining composure and restarting, RJ talks about one of his biggest pet peeves that he sees on many Live Streams and then Will and RJ discuss the (internet) age old question: To be (wired) or Not To Be.
Unquestionably the superior and preferred method for Live Streaming is to be connected to your router via Ethernet. Your connection is solid and therefore your Upload speed is at the fastest your internet will allow. What if your router is located on the other side of the house or apartment and you can't or don't want to run an ethernet cable under carpets and over sleeping pets?
Will showcases a solution. The TP-Link AV1000 is just the answer! It is so very simple, just plug the transmitter into a wall receptacle and the receiver into a wall plug nearest where you'll be broadcasting. Connect a short ethernet cable from your router to the transmitter and then connect a short ethernet cable from the receiver to your computer. That's it! But WAIT!!! There's more! The TP-Link AV1000 is ALSO a WiFi extender!
Finally, we have an exceptional guest! We also talk about what it's like being an actor during these very strange times and how "self-taping" has become the new norm for casting in Hollywood. We strategize about the best set ups and green screen vs "live" set. Find out more about Natasha here.
